This inaugural release is composed of two works for strings. The first is a brooding work for string quartet inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The four movements embody impressions from moments in the play. The second is a serenade in five movements, is a series of portraits from a life in America. The five movements each evoke a moment in the life of the composer and run from joyful to tragic.
