Description: A deeply personal composition that composed in 2010 upon hearing news of my father’s imminent passing from cancer, this piece joins the sounds of the string quartet to the dark mourning of the clarinet. The addition of a flute gives this piece many sonic colors as it turns from quite sorrow, to warm reminiscence, stoic fortitude, brief sobs, and quiet resignation
